bout me?

Several facts about myself I noticed today.

Fact #1
I was taking a shower and I felt short. I know I am (don't start with the hundreds of comments saying that I am). Somehow, the bathroom made me feel shorter than I really am.

Fact #2
Nothing beats sleep. Definitely not. I fall asleep reading, watching tv, talking, chatting on MSN. And I realized I have that tendency to fall asleep on wheels too. *sigh* Then Pei Yoong's voice rings in my ear, Seriously, don't drive if you're tired, you're killing other people. That thought frightens me.

Fact #3
Starting to get obsessed with the character Edward Cullen from Twilight (I mean from the book). I do wonder if there will ever be a person so perfect. I guess not. I could only read and dream. *drools again*

Fact #4
I wanna hang out with Jie so badly!

Perfect Twilight.

Twilight makes Vampires so lovable. And i do love vampires now. (well, if they ever do exist..)
I wanted to read Twilight for a really long time but never got the chance to get one copy from the bookstores.

Well, I did that yesterday while waiting for mother to arrive for our shopping session. *winks*

and today, we drove ourselves to Alamanda and watched Twilight, the movie. *double jumps* I would advise those who have not seen the movie to read the book 1st. The movie gets way more interesting that way.

I would say that the movie is pretty cool. And we have Robert Pattison from Harry Potter (Cedric Diggory) as the main actor which is described in the book to have an alluring smile with very convincing golden eyes. *drools*

Ashley Greene, holding the character of Alice Cullen looks amazing. She's so pretty.
God. I love the Cullens.

Ashley Greene, second from the right

Officially fan of Twilight! However, still the biggest fan of Harry Potter.

happy birthday granduncle!

So my grandfather's sister's son got married yesterday night. He can be counted as my distant cousin brother whom I do not recall meeting him before. Wheez to ze new married couples.

Anyway, my 4th great granduncle, a very important person in the family came over from Canada, so we meet up and attended the wedding dinner together which was held in a restaurant in Selayang. Meeting up with the family was fun-ish. *smiles*
Since the dinner ended around 11pm, it was late for us to drive home and we stayed overnight at my aunt's. Those whom didn't stay came over too and the adults had couple of drinks. This led to a question for me : "how is your alcohol tolerance, Quai?". Only I shall know that.

well, the family

It was my granduncle's birthday the following day. We had bookings in Zipangu Fine Dinning at Shangri-La Hotel for the celebration. Had the Japanese buffet and I hogged on the salmon and strawberries. *winks*

happy 18th bryan tan kok min.

Yes. I have not been blogging. Yes I promise to start back a couple of times and Yes I have been busy. *smirks*

Since most people complain about me not updating my blog, that is what I shall do now.

Finals have come and gone. Results have been posted out and I can announced that I messed it all up. *sighs hard* I really ought to start working extremely hard next semester.
I am currently on my semester break. Haven't been home much though.

This week, I have been in college working in the AUP (America University Program=ADP known in other colleges) department as a student helper. Earning around 3.50 to 4 bucks an hour. Was doing it just to help out, but since we're getting paid, why not? *whees*

So it was Bryan's birthday yesterday. We got muffins and a can of whipped cream with some rainbow hearts. Sprayed tons of whipped cream on ze muffins and sprinkled hearts on it.
Shout out goes to him.

Bryan, you're one heck of a different guy and you ought to be who you are and who you are comfortable being. Keep in mind that we all love you and you'll always have us around!

I'm outta here for now.

Field Trip USA on 8tv!

I once mentioned that our AFS YES '08 trip to the States will be filmed and shown on 8tv. Indeed it will be. SOON!

It is the 50th year of collaboration between United States and Malaysia. Hence, the US department decided to sponsor this tv program, titled : Field Trip USA.

Before we left to the States, early this year, 8 students were given a whole new video camera to be brought to US. They were supposed to film their special moments and keep track of their experience during the whole 6 months.

In the middle of the 6 months, Qi (host for Bajet Destinasi) and the 8tv crew went over to the states in America to meet up with these selected 8 students.

The footage have been edited and produced into a series, Field Trip USA. This 10 weeks episode will be about the 8 students and also some footage of the other students for this AFS YES program.

The details would be:
Chanel: 8tv
Time: 9.30pm
Date: 8th Oct 08, every Wednesday
Series title: Field Trip USA.
Host: Qi
Main 8 students: Sherilyn Ooi, Syera Zainal, Andrew Chua, Danial Kamal, Soleh, Wanny, Shaaleni, Pratheeb (Joe)

The press conference and the launching event was held last Thursday at TGI's Friday in One Utama. About 13 out of 40 of us attended. The press were there too. Mahathir Lokman, Ahmad Izham Omar (CEO of 8tv), James R. Keith (the ambassador of America), Atty Sulaiman, Syazalyna Mohammad and some other big shots were there too.

It definitely was a blast!

I shall force everyone who knows me, about to know me or even just happen to stumble on this blog to watch Field Trip USA! It's a must!
