sisterly love

Done with finals for this semester.
Odd thing is, mom's been out for 2 days, enjoying herself and me being a teen, I'm here at home, wondering and facing the computer.
Well, resorted to watching the series of Heroes.

Jie called and we stayed on the phone for some time. Planning on how the apartment would be like when I finally get to there. Planning to cook for her and go out for shopping sprees. Describing how fun it would be to get a car together. Head down to host family's for Christmas. And hoping that that will all happen when I get there next year.

I miss her and can't wait to get there!

It holds lots of possibilities but in the same time, I will admit that I'm very much afraid.
Guess I'll just deal with it then.

Birthday's up next. Hoping I won't go all nostalgic. *sighs*

Field Trip USA- the Favourite TV Program

SHOUT! Awards is specially dedicated to give recognition to those who have made great impact and creative breakthroughs in Malaysian music, film, TV and radio. A first-of-its-kind awards show for these four industries, it aims to reward the most-deserving artists, actors, radio and TV faces, giving voice to all Malaysians to define the new cool.

Spanning 16 categories altogether with a total of 5 nominations in each, all nominations submitted will be determined by a panel of judges consisting of tastemakers and veterans representing the broadcast, music and film industry. Following which, the rest will go into the public’s hands, where they will be called to vote for their favorite personalities online on our website.

Hendra got us seating tickets for the Shout Awards. Sat with Syera and Paul then later on joined the rest where the nominees sat.

There were loads of performances and best yet, Sean Kingston sang 3 songs! I was just about 5 rows behind where he stood. It was great. Field Trip USA, in which filmed the adventures of 8 exchange students that were sent to America under AFS, was nominated for 3 categories.

Fresh TV Series Award (New TV Series including Dramas and / or Sitcoms)
Favorite TV Program (Non Drama)
Favorite TV Host

We won the Favourite TV Program! Yes Field Trip USA won. So happy and proud of Hendra, Qi, Alet, Syera, Andrew, Joe, Danial, Shaaleni, Syazwanny, Solleh and Sherilyn. It was awesome and it's amazing we won. There was no pretends, no acts but everything was just an adventure even for Qi himself. I am hoping through this, AFS could be more well known as for it is a really good program.
Being apart of this program and gaining the experience I did during my stay in Maine, I truly encourage everyone to be involved with AFS. Either being an exchange student or even as a volunteer. Visit www.afs.org for more details.

The few of us who went to the Shout Awards tagged along for the after party with all the other local artists. Was kinda bummed Sean Kingston was not there. *sulk* But it was all fun and we got a couple of pictures.

Congratulations to every who won especially those involved in Field Trip USA and also Qi for being nominated for 4 times. :)

Be apart of AFS. You will never regret, this we promise.

happy mama's day!

happy mama's day to all women who have been through 9 months of cravings and eternal headaches. *whopss*

Woke up late cause aunt and cousins were around. Ma went swimming and had breakfast with 'em. I just slept. :)

Had mother's day lunch at some restaurant in Semenyih. Then to the temple in Broga. With the heat we're facing these days, I doubt I could survive any longer being outside of a air conditioned room slash car. *grunts* Anyway, took loads of picture in the temple.

Drove down to KL, went to mids, got stuff and had dinner there.

the attempts

money is below us.

Happy mother's day to Mom in Maine too! I tried calling but it went to voicemail. Missing you. hugs.

for you.

For that special you,
You say that you're carrying that bag, that load, that problem wherever you go. As time pass us by, it weighs you down even more. You can sigh and you can fret. But I shall not let you do that again and again, because here I am, where you can find a wee bit of comfort. Here I am, where my shoulders are broad and the source of tiny wheeny hugs.
You say you always get rid of the problem of others, but never your own. That is never a bad thing, for you might never know, you made a difference in the life that one person. And that my dear friend, not everyone can do.
You rather not think about it. I understand. I might seem gleeful all the time, but I've been through worst. So when you think that it's time for a decision and yet feel lost, always know that I'm only a phone call away.
Maybe I'm not the one you trust. Or maybe I'm not the one you mentioned. It really doesn't matter because I am looking at you as a true friend and hoping that you'll look at me the same way too.

I am glad that I'm getting to know you better. *hugs*

Loves,
lost soul.

1st day of my 4 days weekend

wohoo!
It's only 1.18pm and the day feels so productive!
Woke up late this morning due to the hectic start of a new semester in college.
Somehow ended up not having any classes today and on Monday. Will be having a four days weekend. *grins widely*
Managed to laze around and checked my mails.

Then without hesitating much, jumped off the seat, took a pail with a old rag and headed to wash the car (proton). It was about noon but the heat wasn't that bad. The car is now squeaky clean! I shall proceed to cleaning the inner part of the car later. *grins*

Was about to keep the pail when I too decided to wash my shoes and flip flops. I feel awesome. My day ain't wasted now. Shall make it even better after lunch. I'm so pumped! *jumps in circle*

Ps: Wish I could post some pictures but ma took the camera. :)

a new beginning

I am now officially making the effort to update my blog, since pointed out by Nickie.

Happy 2009. Hoping it'll be an awesome on for all to enjoy.

Went to the Curve with extended family. Ate at Bubba Gump. Wishing pa was there because we use to celebrate new year's eve together all the time. Plus, he always takes us to happening places where people pee openly by the roadside after countdown with bottles of alcohol everywhere. Curve was different from the Starhill area.

The fireworks were awesome though. Blasted for a whole 15minutes or so. Was longer compared to the ones in Genting Highlands.

why me? but why not me? *quote Pa*

I lost pa only recently. Well, one year feels recent now.
Only the morning of this exact day one year ago did I see a man whom I love so much die slowly right in front of me. I saw as his breath slowly left his body. Every second of that morning was another second lost. That morning I would have never guessed it would be the last morning spent with him.

Pa died and I went to the States leaving my mother behind to face this lost alone. It made it easier for me to let go being so far away. I went through this period rather well. But at times, it hurts so badly that every inch of my heart aches. And it still does. He has always been there with my mother to guide us. But the sudden absence of one person so important is a deep impact.

Yes, I will have to admit that it's hard to cope with all the emotions. Everyone loses someone important throughout their lifetime, it's just way earlier for me.

Sometimes I wonder. Wonder if I am turning into a rude mean girl without his guidance, in the disciplinary sense. Wonder if I am making the right choices in life.

I am however grateful to have friends and family who were there through my tough times and still are supporting me. I am even more grateful to those who helped my mother and sister to pull it through this whole period. My most sincere thank yous to those who gave support and love. You know who you are.

I try to control my emotions but sometimes, just a split moment of time, I wished he was still by our side..

Bangsar outs with Nickie

Went to Bangsar with Nickie to hunt for dresses. Drove to her house and went there in her black Myvi. Will.i.am have rocking out songs. Black Eyed Peas just never run out of season.
Going back to the topic, we had Madam Kuan's for lunch and roamed the street. Camwhoring is a must.

Soulja Boy..crank it yo... .... superman..

*pouts*

Got kinda bored and went to Midvalley. Twas productive. Got couple of things done. Had a blast laughing out loud at random fitting rooms. Judging whether fatty layers were oozing out or not.
Watched The Day The Earth Stood Still. Had so many movies the past few days that I will not watch anything in the cinema for awhile now. Unless of course someone wants to watch Space Chimps with me since Nickie doesn't like cartoons.

We were early for the movie. Took pictures lavishly with no shame.

Got back to Nickie's and realised that Laine just got back from Aussie. Called Yee and got her to drive to Saujana Impian to head to Sungai Long together. Hung out and play cards in Oldtown while I consumed more food. Followed by trashing Laine's house at 12am.

Welcome back Laine.
